About Chef Anita

I have never been very good at the question, 'Tell me about yourself.'

I'm a mom, a mother-in-law, a grandma, a daughter, a sister, an auntie to more nieces and nephews than I probably have room to list, and a friend to some pretty wonderful people. If you ask me who I am, I tend to tell you about the people I love before I tell you anything about myself.

Maybe that says something about me after all.

I own a catering company, I love to cook, and few things make me happier than feeding people and hearing laughter around the table. I believe beautiful food doesn't have to be complicated, taking care of ourselves shouldn't feel like punishment, and there should always be room for joy — and probably dessert.

When I'm not in the kitchen, give me a good murder or suspense novel and I'm perfectly content. Apparently, preparing beautiful meals and reading about fictional people behaving terribly is my idea of balance.

Feeling Fabulous grew from the way I try to live now: enjoying the people I love, caring for the body that carries me through this life, eating food that still feels familiar, laughing often, and remembering that none of us has to do any of it perfectly.

If you've made it this far, then in my mind, you've already pulled up a chair.

Welcome to my table.
